
Introducing the "Voucher Program"
Each Voucher is worth
$5.00.
Vouchers can be used for
Wave Fees or merchandise. They will however have an expiration date of one
year from the date of issue.
Here is how it works:
There are number of jobs
that we need help with during the course of a weekend event from set -up to
tear down.
From the General list of
jobs, please sign up. Club members can sign up for as many jobs as they like
where help is needed. The more you work the more money you save on Wave fees
and merchandise.
*Vouchers
can be redeemed for wave fees up to the $5.00 per dog fee paid to dockdogs, Inc. Every competitor needs to at least pay this
fee.

(non-club Officers) receive

Job
Descriptions:
Set-up:
Work with the Maintenance Supervisor, DockDogs
personnel and DDNS Club Officers setting up event, pool and dock.
Tent and Registration Booth set-up
including electrical hook-ups and banner placements.
Tear-
Down:
Work with the Maintenance Supervisor,
DD personnel and DDNS Club Officers breaking down the dock, draining, pulling
apart pool supports, cleaning and helping fold pool.
In the case of no pool, help take
apart dock, if needed.
Wrangler:
Get list of competitors from Administrator.
During wave make sure that competitors are in line and ready for their turn on
the dock. Work with Announcer to keep the flow of the "Show"
moving along.
This is the "Person in
Charge" of the Dock during the competition and if needed during any
practice time. It is this person that makes sure handlers and dogs are safe.
One dog off lead at a time. Previous dog is out of water and on lead or secure before
next person takes their dog onto the dock.
Write scores down on the wave
scoring sheets during competition, sign and turn into Admin after each wave is
complete.
Information
Desk Help:
Previous to wave and during
registration time we need 2 individuals to help with questions, new competitors
filling out registration forms, answering general questions regarding titles,
and how the event runs, e.g. making certain that new competitors to dockdogs are
familiar with rules, where and when they need to be at the judges briefing, 4
ft. leash, borrowing our DDNS supply of proper equipment.
* Before signing up for this position make certain you have
attended enough events that you are familiar with our procedures and the rules
set forth by dockdogs, Inc.
Retail
Help:
We have Club retail items for sale.
Duties include set-up and or fold down at the end of day, helping customers
with items, keeping track of inventory, taking money, keeping accurate records
of sales, giving sale money to Event Admin. and sales info to Head of Retail
for the event.
Ribbon
Help:
This shift begins at the end of the
1st group and then end of every consecutive wave. Event Administrator begins
with inputting event results, and making stickers with date, wave, Dog’s name
and Best Jump. We need you to place wave/jump information stickers on the ribbons
at the end of the wave. Distribute Ribbons to Competitors at the Registration
Tent.
Guest
Announcer:
This duty is typically handled by a
Club Officer or Board Member. And in some cases we need someone to fill in.
This position is best utilized by someone who knows the majority of
our dogs and handlers, and is comfortable in front of a crowd with a
microphone. We announce each competitor, their score and our sponsors. If
interested please contact Club President personally.
