The Battle
Continues……That’s right folks, Minnesota and
Wisconsin’s Dock Dogs clubs will go paw-to paw again this
year at the Minnesota Hastings Rivertown Days Celebration on
the scenic banks of the great Mississippi River in Hastings
Minnesota July 18 through the 20th. This year shall prove who the True
Champions of the upper Midwest are. The first Battle of
the Border Challenge held in Eau Claire, Wisconsin certainly
was a nail bitter. Teams from all the Big Air Divisions went
paw-to-paw and the results - a virtual “tie.” That brought
us down to an exciting Extreme Vertical competition. Well,
Minnesota’s own Rocky, Sophie, and Savannah Jane were NO
match for the likes of Gauge, Reggie or Sarge, that’s
clear!! In the end, the Ultimate winner of the Battle of
the Border Challenge for 2007 – Those High Flying Dogs of
Wisconsin’s Dock Dogs Club! |

 Next up, the “2007 DockDogs 1st
Annual National’s Club Challenge” held in Roger’s Minnesota.
While a little voice kept whispering in my ear all weekend,
“I know who is in the lead!!!” We again came down to that
crazy Extreme Vertical Competition again. Those Big Flying
Dogs from Wisconsin smoked the folks and their dogs from
Minnesota once again.
Well the challenge is back, and we have the home pool
advantage here in Minnesota:
Can Minnesota step up to the challenge?
Could Speed Retrieve be Minnesota’s answer to having the
ability to stop those Big Strong Dogs to our East?

Psst: Remember to compete in the Battle
you must be a member of the state’s club you reside in PRIOR
to the event!!!!! Get in contact with your home Club’s
President or Membership Officer to join and bring your dog
to Hastings. Minnesota Dogs – Help we need you!!!!!!
